Access Storage / Harmonix
A major mixed-use commercial redevelopment delivering a new self-storage facility with integrated trade counter, maker space and office accommodation on Kingston Road. GTH Architects were appointed by Harmonix Construction post-consent to refine, coordinate and deliver the scheme through detailed design and construction, enhancing buildability, performance and architectural clarity while retaining the approved vision.
The scheme had secured planning permission for a substantial commercial building arranged across multiple levels, defined by a distinctive sawtooth roof profile and a strong, articulated frontage along Kingston Road. The approved proposal established the massing strategy, material language and active ground floor presence, responding to the site’s prominent urban position and long street frontage. Our role was to safeguard the design intent while strengthening its practicality and commercial robustness - reviewing the consented design in detail, resolving technical interfaces and aligning the architecture more closely with structural and M&E requirements.
